I too am off topic.
Back about '80 a guy (Neil) was having a home built next to where I was living by an outfit who would complete the home to the state that the owner wanted but still supplied all of the materials needed to complete the home. Neil was an electrician and had the home built to the point of having the windows, doors and roof done then he bartered with his fellow tradesmen to finish the home.
Anyway, they guy who was building the home only had his wife to help him and they were living in a small travel trailer. I invited them to have supper one day and they accepted.
i can't remember what I fixed but I know they seemed to enjoy it. However I noticed a very fresh scar where the guy's right thumb 'Used To Be'.
That guy was right handed! I don't know how he could manage but he drove nails with a framing hammer without a thumb.
I ended up asking his wife what had happened and she said that on the job before this one, he was using a skill saw and was ripping with his left hand when the saw jumped and cut off his thumb.
He got the home built in record time and I never heard him complain.
Grap a hammer, a nail then try to drive the nail without using your thumb to grip the hammer handle---------He still amazes me!
