Fow much for a pro shave?
Moderators, if this is offensive, please delete it. I intend no foul other than interesting discussion.
While traveling this weekend, I happened upon a place that still offers professional shaves the old way (hot towels, nice warm lather, and a professional shave with a straight). They were closed and so I was not able to get the gory details, but it got me thinking.
What would you expect to pay for a shave...or for those of you that have found places like these, how much do they charge?
While in grad school I had a barber friend and she charged the same price for a shave as for a hair cut (11 bucks at the time). This place I found this weekend (came highly recommended by a friend) only charges 6 bucks!
I am just curious what have you guys seen? I am sure it will vary greatly with locale.
Again, if this is poor taste just let me know and I'll blank the post.

I hear that...if I thought it was going to be a truly exceptional experience that might teach me something about enjoying shaving I would pay up on a special occasion (birthday or something) but its doubtful that I would learn more from the experience than an equivalent time spent here;)
