I exclusively shave with a straight. Nearly four years and counting.
I think i use this for every time i am rushed.
I got a better shave then what i get with my gillette fatboy.
But i did start using a different brand of blades.
I switch off between a straight and a DE depending on time and my mood. Havent touched a cartridge razor in over 4 years or an electric in over 5 (except my little beard trimmer to trim my goatee)
I have almost exclusively gone to the straight. But,like others here, when I know I'm pressed for time I will use my Gillette DE razor with "Shark" blades. I've timed myself and found that I can get a real close, no-nick shave in just under three minutes from start to finish. By comparison, a complete SR shave takes me b/w 15-25 minutes depending on how "perfect" I want to be. Generally, however, I tend not to rush my SR shaves. I put on my little radio and drown out the rest of the world and enjoy the music along with the shave.
I use the straight razor exclusively on a daily basis. I first started with the DE and would reserve the straight for the weekends. Now that I am more proficient , it has become my tool of choice. Not only is the shave more rewarding, but the the object itself, both functionally and aesthetically, commands more of my respect.
And yes, I am currently going through a bad case of RAD. I think it's the season.
I got my first straight last January (a Dovo 6/8 Best Quality from SRD). Since that day, I've only shaved with a straight. I'll never use anything else.
I would prefer using a SR everyday. But for those of us with an unpredictable business schedule, the speed and convenience of a DE is at times required. Nevertheless, I find time to shave with my SR's several times a week.

I've been using only straights since last November when i made the switch from DE to straight. I've only used a DE once since then and that was when none of my blades were shave ready so i sent them all off to have that rectified. I even took a straight with me on a work trip recently and thoroughly disturbed my boss LOL!!
I switched to straights in August 2011. I am in the military, so I shave at least 5 times a week. Now I usually shave on the weekends too just because I like it!
So far in 14 months I have never had to shave (my face) with anything other than my straight razors, not once.
Now I have at least 14 razors in my house, 5 are in my shaving rotation. I restore the others to sell for cost in an effort to get people interested in the hobby in my area. So far it's working out pretty well.
