I only care about my wife's opinion, and unfortunately she likes it when I have facial hair or at least some scruff :gaah:. I do get frequent comments from her when I have extended periods of clean-shavenness....

At 45 yrs old my facial hair has turned to white and gray, but my hair on my head is still brown, this makes for a very odd look. My wife says it make me look old(and not in a good way) and in my profession (Barber) I need to look neat, so I shave everyday and have been for many years. tried No Shave November this year, made it 2 days, had to lather up and shave.
Yes. The way I see it is that the beauty contest is over. I just enjoy keeping trimmed in my old age. Every day or two! ;)
I don't care what anyone else might think, I can't stand stubble. I have to shave almost every day. I can get by skipping a day here and there but mostly daily for me. I feel like I look like a bum if I'm unshaven. :hmmm:
If I could grow a gnarly moustache or beard, I'd certainly give it a shot. Unfortunately, my beard is so sparse that the best thing for me to do is keep it clean shaven. Darn, right? Lol. My Dad said that he couldn't grow a worthwhile beard until he was almost 30 and I'm a couple years from that and still couldn't grow a beard to save my life. My fiance prefers a little stubble, so a good shave every 2 or 3 days is the perfect compromise.
I am 50 years old :).
Here are the comments I get when I don't shave: "You look mangy" or "Are you drinking again?". Anyway the women I work with especially the ones 35 and younger hate body hair on men and I mean any body hair. I think they think goatees and mustaches are ok.
