    Default Compliment or no compliment?

Since I started straight shaving I shave every third day. So when I shave on Monday, the next time is Thursday. With few exceptions: the occasions I cannot show up unshaved or the weeks off when I do not shave at all. Or the short period in which I tried to shave every second day.

The thing is that when I have a three or more day stubble some female colleagues at the office and some friends make compliments. They think it looks well.

    What are your experiences?

Some guys look like George Clooney when they skip a few days. Myself, I look more like Joe Dirt.

It's kinda like the shaved head thing, some guys can pull that off and others not so much. Me, I can't pull off the stubble beard much anymore. My beard isn't patchy or anything but alas most of it has turned...uh...blonde and so I look like a really old homeless guy after a couple days of not shaving.

@Wintchase: Fortunately for both of us (and our children) even ugly people feel the need to breed

I have been told many times I look better with facial hair than clean shaven. Maybe it suits your face better with a little stubble.
Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

If chicks dig it, rock the stubble bro!

I have a baby face so I can't pull it off.
I'm a sucker for a stamped tail. Giggity.

I've had more luck shaving the back of my head and walking backwards.

The key here is "some". Some people have taste like my you know what. What do the majority of folks say?

I say check the ring finger... I don't know if you're married or not, but if there's a ring there; then "thanks for the compliments"...I keep shaving, if no ring...well I may take it a little more to heart lol! Don't ban me for this...I'm a nice guy, REALLY I AM!
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.
