    Default Counter intuitive solution perhaps?

So today I decided to shave against the grain on my neck first and then with the grain, and I am surprised to say that my results were wonderful. Much more comfortable, and no burn. Anyone else do this?

If I am in a big hurry I just do against the grain. That is the way I shaved with disposables for years. Seems to be alright for me but I only do it when I'm running late.

Sometimes I do this with a Kamisori and the results are surprisingly good to say the least, but ya better have a freaky sharp razor

I always do ATG on my neck first. I've always done it that way.

If you hit it ATG first I'm not sure what WTG is going to accomplish, but to each their own I suppose.....

Right under my chin I just do ATG because it's the easiest way for me to approach it with the blade and it can be stretched very tight so there's no problem. Other areas like the lip, attempts at direct ATG were unpleasant as it seemed the edge of the blade wanted to follow the hairs down to the root. Maybe with lots more experience....
