I'm glad it's turning out well for you! I had the same problem with my stropping in the beginning for about a week. I focused on driving with the spine instead of thinking about the edge, if that makes sense. I've found that if my prep and lather is good and I stretch well, I can find a sweet spot with the angle and just enough pressure that I'm barely squeegeeing the soap/cream off where the razor will glide. My aim is obviously an almost effortless glide but for me it takes focus on holding the blade firmly yet contacting the skin lightly and moving confidently. There's a sweet spot for sure though...if one of my blades seems to pull, then I go back to focusing on barely squeegeeing the soap off, play with the angle and make sure I'm making a confident stroke and it usually helps. If it doesn't then I will refresh it.
