Well, I certainly don't lack the time for trying a restoration, but I do lack a lot of the tools. Repinning can't be done yet, so cleaning the tang is very tricky. But what has been done is a session or two with WD-40 and wet/dry paper, and a thrice-over with the brasso.
The nicks in the blade have all but vanished, thanks to the King 800 stone. On Saturday, I'm hoping to land a 1-6K hone, and *finally* get underway with getting it into a shave-ready state. As for now though, it's in a useable but rough state.
