    Default W and B 15/16"

I just rediscovered this a few days ago and gave it a clean.
Bought on ebay sometime ago for USD$47.00.
A nice, heavy blade in good condition.

    That's a gorgeous blade.

I have one 9/8 Celebrated Hollow, FBU, and another one on the way (very excited), and you'll really enjoy this blade (as I'm sure you probably know).

These types of blade seems even more popular lately, with one's like you're fetching over $300 on E-Bay, if you can find them!

    Congratulations!

Do you have any plans to change the scales or customize in any way!!

Hi Phrank, the scales are in very good condition for their age, the pics (3,5,6) show the lead wedge "rotating loosely" somewhat but apart from that....
I will probably just tighten up the pins (tap, tap) and leave it as is. On the other hand, if someone has a nice scale pattern they want to share here,
there are some different burl blanks I've got tucked away for use.

And I prefer the blades without the notch, as the one you were lucky enough to get, seems they are even harder to come by!

My first 9/8 W&B, has dark horn scales, original one's were pooched, and the second one, again, I managed to secure the blade, but the scales were shot, and going to go with a blonde horn, thats my thing right now. These blades are keepers for me, scales are fairly easy to change if I want to change the look. But the next one is going to have similar shaped scales as the first, just really like they way they fit in my hand.

If you're looking for some ideas, here's my W&B 9/8, designed by a member here, the gentlemansden, as always, YMMV:

Thanks Bongo - however, the credit is due to SRP member, thegentlmansden, it's his design, but yes, I love this blade.

This one is dark horn, hand carved, have another coming from him in blonde horn. Waiting to see the first look at it...hopefully picking up this Sunday!

Never thought I'd like a big blade, but when I purchased another members Revisor 8/8 from the Classifieds here, and then Glen honed it up for me, I was blown away by how nice the shave was. Especially for me as I have a bit of an old sports injury that makes doing my ATG pass on my right neck area with my left hand somewhat uncomfortable. With the bigger blades it's much more comfortable.

And these blades...just have never experience a shave like these big, heavy hollow ground Sheffield steel razors, they float down your face.

You got a really nice blade there, and for me, without the notch, I like it even more!

I know you're going to have fun with that one!!!
