A remarkable Joseph Fenton
Posting some recently acquired razors. This one really stands out; that says a lot as it takes a bit to really get me going now. This razor is made by Joseph Fenton and sons, towards the latter half of the 19th century. It has a covered ivory tang and ivory scales, but what is unusual is the wedge. Highly uncommon for a razor of this era, there is a 3rd pin. Even more unusual, that 3rd pin actually connects to the wedge! The wedge has about a 3" long tail that the 3rd pin goes through. The ivory scales are unfortunately broken, so I will be hopefully managing a patch repair there soon.
