Got this in the mail today. Carlos made the blade and the scales for me.
I did the pinning and the satin finish on the scales as soon as I opened the package.....

Looks good! Is it a wide blade, but short?

The blade is O1 Tool Steel 9/8 wide and 2 3/4 inches long on the edge and 1/4 inch wide spine/back. Haven't honed it yet but soon.

By the way Trimmy, if you ever need anything, I am close by in Reading.

Carlos razor update. This razor honed up fantastically great. I shaved with it today and took it to member Josh ( wyobarbershop ) where he shaved himself and a customer. There were no complaints about the edge. O1 tool steel seems to hone very easily. Witness my HART STEEL razor. That one shaves very well also.

That damn thing makes shaving effortless but equally dangerous! Love it!
