Not a clue what it is but for how much I paid it was worth finding out. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...4920648081.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...9c339f88f1.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...cce647002c.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...d7e4c13164.jpg

scythe sharpening maybe
It's an ancient Mayan spear sharpener. :beer2:
Currently I have some DR Harris Windsor soap, a brush-and-razor stand from Oak and Leaf, and a Razorock Plissoft Monster synthetic brush. I have read good things about these particular Plissoft shaving brushes and anticipate it will give me superior performance to my current pure badger brush that scritches the bejesus out of my poor, sensitive face.
So thanks to SRD having a nice little black friday weekend coupon code I have a plethora of stuff on the way. Went with two bottles of Fine aftershave in santal and lavender, one MWF refill, and finally two 1st tier creams that Im trying for the first time. Baum Be. and Castle Forbes lavender. Wanted the lime but I was too slow, guess Ill just have to order that one later. Looking forward to trying these two new creams as I've nothing but great stuff about them. Also have some new alum blocks I had to get off the amazon coming too. Happy shaving and enjoy the rest of the weekend.
It's took a few days to get a bit of a smell out of my last brush I bought from kelly but after a few soaks it was smell free, they have a good backbone but not so much that it doesn't bloom nicely when you want to really dig at your face. If you like scritchy brushes it probably isn't for you though, it's got super soft tips which I really like. I don't have big hands and the whaler brush( my first brush, there's pics of it in another post of mine) fits nice in my hand so I'm super excited for this one. Hope that helps. PS in the months I've had my other brush as my daily user it's only she'd like maybe 6-10 hairs.
OK off to spend some more $$$$ I guess
They are some really great looking brushes that's for sure
Just got this in the mail today and can't wait for the morning shave

I'm glad that so far you are pleased!:y :y :y :tu
Just every once in awhile I get something right. I 'think'
When I made the extension for the 'MITER GAUGE' I coated all sides of the Black Walnut to try and seal it so it would stay more stable.
Did you get the parts list and diagram that I sent you? Just wondering
Yes sir, and thank you for that as well.
:beer1:
A bunch of 2x72 sanding belts.
Well SRD delivers again. They never cease to amaze me. Ordered this stuff on Friday and shows up today. You guys rock!

I'm very excited to try the baume be and castle forbes. The MWF is a refill and the Fine A/S is new as well. Tried some samples and I liked them, more importantly the wife liked them.
Have a great week
Phil

It loose, smells and acts like a Thuringian but I leave the final judgment up to you.
My big question is what's up with the shape http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...2ccc8832aa.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...25a5e16b8d.jpg

12 Shaving soaps coming in few day's
My Ator came today, and I'm very, very happy with the way it looks in hand. A tiny bit of surface rust, and that's it. I don't think I even need to take the pivot apart, which is amazing. A little polish on some floss around the pivot, on the blade and also the pins...... Plastic polish on the scales and Bobs your uncle!
BTW, the James Dunbar Moss Side is most definitely hand painted :) Love it!
Anyone know what all the letters and numbers on the backside tang are all about???

My lathe showed up yesterday. I still need to assemble my stand, which arrived today. I'm already slightly familiar with it because the local woodcraft held a "turn for troops" event and this lathe was the same one I used. It's the jet 1221vs, and it rocks!

Nice Lathe Kyle, now we expect big things!!!
That electronic speed dial sure will be handy. Wish I had that on mine.
It's a beaut, Andrew! MUCH more rare than a W&B barber's use!:D
You did well!
Perhaps some sort of patent numbers?
FME, if it is loose in the scales, the top pin will have to be drilled and removed....Repinned.
I would hesitate to attempt tapping on that pivot pin....:nono:
Been a LOT of those jokers broken. You know the drill! :D
Which drill? My Hilti, Makita, Hitachi, Black and Decker, Dewalt?? :rofl2:
I like my pivots fairly snug, so I imagine I'll do the drill.
