Don't get carried away, fellas.
After all. We ARE talking about THIS guy! :roflmao
"Everybody must get stoned!"
Been a week of rock wins for me this week. A good member in Saudi I've been chatting with about escher's is sending a Japanese natural my way which will fill out my finisher drawer quite nicely I believe.

A Yamashiro, with a couple of nagura stones to boot. Will be a kick learning the nuances of three different stones over the next few months.
Cheers all, going to light chinese fireworks, smoke cuban cigars and drink Irish Whiskey while celbrating Canada's Birthday!
Sorry, Andrew! That thread was a fun time. As a good-looking fellow in the pic, your ferret seems dead even then.
Did the lathering do her in?
(kidding, of course!)
Notably, you are a fine man of integrity and talent. The truth!
Better?
P.S. Dont post any photos on SRP that Sharptonn can use against you! :D
A JNat - excellent - I traded another stone I had for a Japanese Osuku(??), also a finishing stone I believe, but can be used with slurry towards the end of a progression I believe, have tried it once and as I was told, really was a superb polisher, especially with a bit of slurry, then drop of water to completely dilute.
We definitely have to get together for a honing session, that is, if I can make it past the bevel setting stage without tears of rage....:D
Looking forward to trying with different slurry's as like you say, working it down to clear dilution, depending on the nagura and stone itself can have some amazing results on certain blades. I've read the same is true of hard ark's and different slurry effects. Going to be cool to test lap and learn em all. :)
I bought those 2 kamisori's a while back and still can't get the proper edge on them. Maybe it's cultural and I need to wait for the jnat.. hehe
Always been a "patchhead" so finally got around to ordering some Santa Maria Novella Patchouli Aftershave....if it's anywhere near as nice as my old version of Givenchy for Gentleman AS, this will be another favorite. Looking forward to a shave with some Valobra Triple Milled Patchouli shave soap and a splash of this afterwards.
