Hehe. Running the oven, I do come home with an aroma of baked bread about me. But when I was vacation relief, on the days/nights I'd run any of the big mixers (maximum capacity: 4,000 lbs.), I would come home smelling strongly of particular varieties of bread. I'd barely have my shoes off before the wife would bust out with: "Did you bake Potato bread today??" Me: "light potato, but yes."
The ingredients, dry powdered sorts like flour & corn starch, would plume in a cloud around me running the mixers. So my hair would have an even dusting, leaving an impression for the olfactory.
Got a 3/4 W&B barber notch on the way. Sorry no pics to post yet. This one will be the biggest restore for me to date. Blade has a few small chips and scales are toast. Time to hit up the restore topics for knowledge.

My inexpensive introduction to W&B arrived today. The wedge looks in good shape with some hone ware. The tang stamp is off a bit but the blade looked really good. Thinking of leaving it as is and start using it.
I was looking for W&B steel/edge quality vs. looks this time.
Is this a decent representation of W&B?

*Not a crack, where blade touched scale.
Looks good J.
The toe looks like it needs to come up, so to follow the spine.,it should take out the slight frown.
Oh how your going to enjoy the shave from that one.
Yeah, it looks like it doesn't need much.
When I see some of them that are swaybacks & have a flat edge, I always get this visual from John Wayne's "McLintock".............

Thank you.
That is what I was thinking but not sure.
So to make sure I understand. It is recommended to match the blade's edge to the curve of spine for this razor or all swayback? I can fix that easy enough.
I've wanted to try a razor with a slight swayback to see if it gets the hollows any better.
I am waiting on a natural coticule from the Netherlands to arrive! Can't wait to try t out on a couple razors.
