Nice! I almost like the 12K enough to start working my way back down the Kuromaku line. I kind of like the hardness and feedback, it's almost like honing on natural stones.

Got a better test session in with the Kuromaku 12K tonight. Dropped back to the Norton 4K, took the blade through the 8K. Stropping between hones. Test shaved after the 8K - one of the best edges I've pulled off on the N8K to date. On the 12K I snuck up on it 5 laps at a time. Once it stopped getting better (20 laps tops) I stopped. Finding the stria was kind of difficult with my carson scope, so I was pretty sure I was about where I wanted to be.
Thinking back to Onimuaru's description of the stone, I went ahead and gave it 10 licks on my strop pasted with SRD's Chrome Ox. At this point the test was more about how sharp I could get this puppy and not about comfort. I knew as soon as I eyeballed that mirror edge I was gonna regret shaving with it. The razor is probably keener than anything my hands have created to date, and the shave was extremely close for one pass with a (very) light touch up.
The razor burn was also on a whole new level. The spike point of my GCW did nip my ear. Didn't feel it, still don't really.
I'd say any stone that allows your skill at honing to out strip your proficiency at shaving & challenge you on 2 fronts is a winner.
Shhhhhh don't tell the wife, but I have more Stirling products heading this way
