That's a great stone and learning to shave from 8k is a great way to begin. You can get a comfortable shave from that stone no problem.

I have posted time and time and time again that if you can't get a Nice CCC (Clean Close & Comfortable) Shave off of an 8k hone then you are pouring your funds down a rat hole when purchasing higher grit hones. :banghead:

I wanted to point out that Rod sent me a second PayPal amount to cover the unforeseen shortage in our shipping cost estimate. He said, "You were fair with me, and I want to be fair with you. It would be nice if everyone was that way."

I responded that everyone I've encountered here on SRP are gentlemen of the finest order. No questions seem too dumb to ask or are asked to often. I hardly see rude responses. Everyone here is supremely polite, helpful, and generous with their time and knowledge. I have never participated in an online forum with membership quite the caliber of SRP.
