Default A pari of tortoise piqué Malingres

Here is a pair I won with a lot of luck (like, I just paid to play the game, and I won)

The maker is Malingres Fils, (or Malaingres, both exist, we did not seem to care much in the past), heirs to Malaignre Staurenghi ESR.
The work on the spine is typical of the brand, but "pushed to the extreme".
The scales are tortoise obviously, with silver included using what I suppose is "piqué" work.

There is an accident on a pair of scales, but the silver flower included makes it solid nonetheless

    Truly wonderful pieces
Beautiful is important, but when all is said and done, you will always be faithful to a good shaver while a bad one may detter you from ever trying again. Judge with your skin, not your eyes.

I am happy you have it. Some fine things and worthy of preservation.

Some finely crafted shaving instruments for certain. I'm with Tom. Its heartbreaking to see such pieces that have made their way into careless or neglecting hands, especially when they are past reviving.
