Found a decent looking razor at an antique shop for cheap so I picked it up. It's a Joseph Rogers & sons, which I've heard are pretty good shavers. Not sure the age on it, but it looks pretty old and has minimal hone wear. Here are a few pics I took of it...forgive the tape, working on getting it honed up!

Perhaps some of you out there might know what the scales look to be made of. When I picked it up, I initially thought a dark wood, such as ebony...but the more I look at it in better light, it makes me wonder. Has some silvery streaks in it and it's a very tight grain pattern...almost like strands of hair joined together. The pic with my fingers in it shows the silvery tones the best.
