Until I viewed the last photo, I was thinking about how careful one would have to be honing a razor with that much detailed carving. :dropjaw:
That is very nice. The only problem, who would use it? A dust collector!
I really would not mind dusting that were it mine!
One similar to this sold a few years ago for $35,000.
I know now someone that would be ready to pay 50.000€ cash to buy it.
Sadly I was a student and needed money at the time, so it was sold for 1/5th of this value not long after the moment I bought it.
I regret selling it, but well.. I was more than happy to just have the chance to hold it and have a good look at it.
Wonderful piece of history. Still sad that JA Henckels did not even answer my email when I offer them to buy it back. Like Indi would say «that belongs in a museum»
And I thought I had a beautiful marketing piece, I guess I do, but not as nice as this one. There was also mention of one made for the Brazil international trade fair i believe.
