Display razor J.A. Henckels, carved ivory, World's Columbian Exposition
Hello Gentlemen,
I've recently been in possession of a display razor of the J.A. Henckels - Zwilling house. For eyes pleasure, I repost some pictures here.
The scales of this razor are made of plain sculpted ivory, and are 59 cm long, and 10 cm width (at the largest point), for a thickness of +- 4 cm (variable because of the relief).

The blade is 58 cm long, from nose to the tail, with a back thick of +- 2,5 cm, and 35 cm of edge (9 cm width).

The scales are showing Christophe Colomb in a central tally, framed by two cherubs holding a cloth. At his left, a terrestrial sphere, and at his right, a ship (possibly the Santa Maria).
