Default Last acquistion in a Sheffield buying binge

I had already promised myself to stop, but then saw this Frederick Reynolds 6/8 wedge in yellow horn, and it was too good to pass up. Now I'm done buying for a good while. Have plenty to work on--enough to keep me busy for months, maybe years.

If you can stop buying for weeks, much less months, I'll send you a razor for free!

    Update me mid August.
I love the smell of shaving cream in the morning!

They are for certain my favorite Sheffield razor. I have quite a few brands to choose from and they are my second favorite brand. I'm going to stop buying soon too, after today. If we band together perhaps we can make that couple of weeks!

One of your favourites is Reynolds? Wow. Any particular type?
I have one, and it's pretty nice. It has an escutcheon plate so I find the balance out a bit, but the blade itself is pretty good. Easy to hone, and good edge.

I just finished up finally getting my reynolds up to par. It looks just like yours but has an etching of George Washington and the words "the champion of liberty". I haven't shaved with it yet but I will be soon. Definitely a promising blade and hopefully a great shave.

I have a couple of 7/8" near wedges and a faux frame back. They are no harder to hone than any other smiling wedge and seem to take and hold their edges quite well. They shave nice as a result. I like the balance and feel. They seem to peek ahead of my W&B and Wostenholms and Greaves just a bit. It is probably more to do with me than the razors themselves, they are probably all pretty much the same quality.

What's a buying binge? I get the shakes when I haven't been on eBay for over an hour.
