    Default Recent eBay finds

I have a very recently purchased warranted cast steel razor with pressed horn scales. They have a bit of white residue from age. I need to find something to bring back the black in the scales. I have my Goins Encyclopedia & when I look up cast steel warranted, they are dated 1816 but if I look up warranted cast steel I come up with nothing.Name: IMG_6231.jpg

The other is a T Glossop from Sheffield, a very unique razor. It looks to have missed one photo but that's ok.

Yeah when I got it, i was glad I bid! It is indeed a very nice piece. I figured the neatsfoot was my best bet to use on the scales. I'll post pics after I use the neatsfoot on it.
The other one looks like the blade was cast that way. It doesn't appear to have been machined that way. It is a very different & unique piece, I just had to have it for my collection. Thank you very much for your comments!

I think the price was fair although I would have loved to get it cheaper. I went to both Home Depot & Lowes & they looked at me stupid when I asked for neatsfoot so I found some stuff called wood rejuvenator. I have tried it and so far it seams to be working. A few coats of the stuff I bought & if it keeps up its beautiful look, I will post pics again.
As far as the second razor goes I thought about it & I could be wrong since it is polished. It could have been machined & polished inside that groove but I believe it was made that way.
