I've had this for some tie now but I have never seen another one like it. It is a frame back & the frame back part is made of bronze. Anyone seen one of these before?

They are as common as can be. I have a drawer full of them. They aren't worth a heck of a lot and if you want I could take it off your hands, for a small fee of course. :p
Beautiful blade...I've only seen one on eBay a couple of weeks ago with the brass colored spine. Never one with the thumb notch though, that's the first one of these I've seen. It looks in stunning condition, virtually mint. What size is the razor?
It's 6.5" including the tail & has a 3" edge on it.
Shure it is not brass? Have not seen a bronze one! NICE!
I've always wanted to bring up the concept of taping the spine on a frame back just to watch the arguments ensue. I have to think that the added dimension of the frame back would stir up some memorable, if not heated, debates. Glen, you out there? LOL
I meant to say brass. I know there is a difference in materials.
I've seen a couple on the Internet in the past. Not necessarily W&B .... maybe ebay, maybe SRP, I honestly cannot recall. I was always curious as to why such a soft metal would be combined with steel where honing would be involved. Interesting stuff. Maybe Neil or Martin will have some input on what the story was with the brass spines on framebacks.
I have been doing the same thing.
