So I took the plunge to find out what the other members talk about/mean by Swedish steel.

Its different than Sheffield or Solingen but it is definitely high quality, feels light and airy for hand-feel and heft. Shaves with the very best of them. I am sold. This one is a keeper. Now for France and Spain. Have to sample them all ,right??

Most of their razors are lighter than usual. Still very nice and pleasant shavers! They made their money exporting their fantastic iron ore and steel in bulk to most every nation in the world.

Though all of the Swedish makers (vintage) I've experienced have been excellent, my absolute favorite is C.V. Heljestrand. You've got a good razor there.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

See learning can be fun and educational. Now if only my paygrade would allow me to visit said countries to make the purchases that would be the best.
But I am happy with just the razors. Thankful for what I have, not sweating what I don't have.

Good advise. Especially since you now own a Heljie!
Seriously, Swedish razzers are awesome. Enjoy!

    I rest my case.
