I bought these from another member here at SRP (Silver4) a few weeks ago and they are my ideal razors. Excellent shape, Ivory scales, between 11/16 and 13/16, and Sheffield steel. After working them on the Guangxi stone that I love they took an edge like no other and are smoooooth and sharp as hell. I had to work on them a little bit but it was worth it in the end. The Hennig is a shoulder-less razor and the Harrop has a faceted spine which I found unusual but maybe some of you out there have seen that before. Either way I love the looks of them both. They are not an original "set" but have been pieced together so I would love to find a match for either or both someday but am just as happy shaving with them daily "as is".
The only thing is that I don't have much information on them. Zak and Martin gave me much more than I was able to find on the web. Evidently Tom Harrop was a straight razor manufacturer between 1895-1905 and Hennig was either a jeweler or a corner store. I reached out to Neil too and expect to hear from him soon but I would love to have more information on these. Until them I will be using them daily. Thanks for looking and thanks in advance for any info you may have on them.
