Yep, if you're going to buy a rusty blade, this is a slam dunk as far as a good one for upside. It's meaty, the worst of it is away form the edge, which is meaty anyway, The scales are intact, And what is there seems rather diffuse apart form a couple of spots. When the messiest bit is the tail you are doing well.

No, the grind is symmetrical actually. Anyway, I steamed the scales and carefully tweaked them in order to correct a warp an achieve good clearances and then repinned it all. Just needs to be honed.
