    Default PJM heirloom razor

While attending a family birthday party this past Thursday my grandmother handed me a package sent to her from my great uncle in Michigan. He had been going through some things after my great aunts recent passing and came across this razor. Immediately he thought of me and my barber shop and sent it here to Pennsylvania. We all assumed it belonged to my great grandfather Harry Hock until I got it home and discovered a small note neatly folded in the original box written by my great grandma Catherine. Here is what it said:

Since he was born in the 1870s, I assume this razor was purchased in his later years. He passed in the late 50s early 60s. No hone wear.

Priceless. That is one to leave to your grandkids .......

From this note, just today my grandmother learned that she'd been born on the same day as her grandfather.

It's a beaut, Josh! Should make the perfect 'heirloom' razor to add to the rotation. Great condition, it seems!

Thanks good buddy. It's currently bathing in a little silicone lube. Looks brighter and fresh already!

I have an heirloom razor too. They are not for learning on because of their extreme value. I bring mine out for special occasions or when I am feeling nostalgic. Nothing beats them! It is also what got me started with straight razors. It will be great in your collection.

Very nice heirloom. I have a Merit in my rotation. Always gives a DFS when it gets used.

I love heirloom razors. They are more special than one you buy from the bay or anywhere else. Unfortunately I don't have any true relatives to get such an item since I was adopted but who knows, I might get one that was from one of my adoptive grandfathers one day. I'm very happy for you & hope it gets passed down for generations to come.
