Yeah, restores don't have to look brand new like some of the custom restorations. I like some to look old.
Here's a Northfield Cutlery straight I did a few months ago. When I first got it, it had broken horn scales & the "flower pedal" looking washers on it. There were only two of those washers so I ended up buying the cateye washers to substitute for them. I found a razor on the bay that had a bad blade but it had these scales on it which were exactly like the originals & nobody wanted it because of the blade, so I picked it up for cheap. I cleaned up this blade some & honed it. This is the results.
