    Default Another Solingen blade

I peruse the Revisor "Rarities" section quite often, looking for that special blade to scratch my "itch."

I've been trying hard to save my money for Christmas, but I've been lusting after this razor for some time. I couldn't deny myself any longer, and really, why should I? The Adolphe Gavillon Auxonne, arrived this morning .. A full 8/8, and I'm positive it is the most hollow blade I've got .. extremely so! Someday I'll put a ball mike across the belly and see what it measures.

Following my refined nature ... this blade is sublime in it's understated elegance, as I live by the old Engineering axiom ... Less is More.

In any case, the first shave is in the books, and I'm very happy with my purchase. The Kronenbergs delivered again ... in fine form!

A bit more than that I should wager. Quite a bit more. I shall pick up the other one next week. You rarely get to see true 8/8ths these days. Certainly not without eye-carcinogenic scales. Thank you for the heads up.
