Maybe a 1/4 hollow. Feels heavy...I think you should make these (hint hint) I believe they're made from white paper steel. I love the short edge, most razors I find the edges to long for my taste. Unless they have a nice smile. It's a sweet razor to hone! In fact I have another on the way...
Thinking about having them both restored, found some material that mimic's the scale colors

Funny you should say that Chris, I've been thinking of a design very much like this for a while now but with a longer tang. I'd be keen to see that scale material.

Do you have any evidence that the steel is White #2? That steel was mainly used by kamisori makers.

I have one just like that (thank you Stefan). I don't see too many of them for sale, especially ones in decent condition. Mine hones beautifully and shaves beautifully. It is one of my absolute favorites.

Pretty sure I read it in the description. BUT...I went back to it and could not find that info.
So no proof. Could totally be wrong, but I haven't bought any other razors recently that said that in the description. I can tell you it hones unlike any other razor I've honed. The steel feels very different .

I have honed a bunch of those, they are very easy to hone and they take a great edge.
