Otto Fromm 50 Redhead - NOS beauty
Feeling very happy to get my hands on this NOS Otto Fromm 50 Redhead beauty. I was almost reluctant to take her for a ride on the coti, but took the plunge and I'm glad I did. Lovely shave, very nice blade to handle.
She might turn out to be even more special than expected, but I'll keep that part of the story for the coming days (let that anticipation build)...
More photos to come soon.

The box is plastic. Below shows exactly how she arrived - plastic box, razor wrapped in wax paper, some patina on the scale inlay and some not-so-nice green oxidisation of the pins.
The lady I bought her from said that it had been in storage for at least 15 years after travelling to NZ, and I'm inclined to believe her. She didn't know how long before that it was purchased. I don't think this particular one had red around the Fromm logo, although I could be wrong. I have seen blades with that colouring.
My initial concern was that this was a newer make (a modern, inferior Fromm) but perhaps that concern was unfounded? Anyone feel conformable commenting on that?

She sure does!
Also, the box that it came is is very similar to yours but it is blue.
These are great razors, enjoy it!Last edited by Cobre; 04-17-2015 at 12:57 AM.
