Thanked: 3152 W&B's Just Honed by gssixgun
Had these for a while, but I just got them honed by Glen (gssixgun) and some work done on the FBU. Sorry the pics aren't better.
The 5/8" is all original. I think it is going to be my main SR shaver for now. The blade is stamped HART HARDWARE Co. LOUISVILLE, KY with SPECIAL on the shank.
The 8/8" is a really nice blade. It says For Barber Use, but doesn't have Sheffield anywhere on it. It has new scales made by 'Rowdy' Wright (wrightpulaski2 on ebay). I messed them up worse trying to fit a wedge to them. I bought two other sets of scales from Wright hoping to save some money, but I honestly haven't been really happy with them. I polished them to 15k with micromesh (they were sanded to 2k when I first got them) and drilled them as straight as I could.
Glen was able to get them mostly straightened out. He did nice job working with what he had, I have to emphasize that. He didn't have to try and fix someone else's mistake. After I start working again I will probably get them completely rescaled by him or another SRP vendor like I should have in the first place. The wedge is elephant ivory, but you can't really see the rings/grain in the picture. It has microfasteners right now, but I'm hoping to eventually get it pinned with 1/4" bullseye washers like it was originally. The blade is in great condition for the age, so I really want it looking its' best.
Here they are.
