life is like a box of chocolate Or a blind date
I saw this one just couldn't help my self. The buy it now was so little. i see a spot or two but believe they will buff out OK. I'll hone it when it gets here and see what i have. I forgot it's a twin henckel. 70 1/2.

The hunt and the anticipation are at least half the fun. But --- so is the follow-up. Let us know the details when it arrives.
Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.

I'll use it for a while. I like to acquire them clean polish and hone. light restoration. I will use them then let them go. I'm retired and this is one of my hobby's. Of course never having to buy a plastic throw away razor again is a plus. Those really get expensive. You know if I hone a razor and can shave with it then when I let it go there may be some one out there that gets it for a starter blade and likes using a straight razor then joins this great crowd of well what ever we are.

The dark spots on this one polished off quickly . as always there was some discoloration around the hinge pin but it cleaned up also. This may be the one I take on trips. it has very little wear so it should hone up good. I think most Henckels do.

I got this one honed today and used it tonight. Even though it's sharp I don't know yet whether or not were going to be friends. I usually shave every other day and some times it 3 days between shaves but this time I couldn't wait. I shaved last night and tonight I shaved with this one. even though it cut the beard fine it being so light and thin (it is very hollow ground) it's not what i'm accustomed to. I'm going to wait 2 and maybe 3 days and try again. I do know that my problem spots (between the lower lip and chin) is very smooth.

I should know better by now. you can't compare apples to oranges. When you jump from 6/8-7/8 heavy sheffields to 5/8 extra hollow ground Solingen no matter how sharp the blade is it's going to be different. I used the henckel again today and the shave was more comfortable mainly because I paid more attention to the angle and pressure. you have to look over us older folks we forget.
