    Default New eBay find!

I'm a Mason and have been looking for a Masonic W&B in good shape for a long time. I finally found the one, and at a good price too. Hope she shaves as well as she looks!

Nice score! It looks like the acid etch version. It also appears to have little hone wear. Finding one with little hone wear is the key! W&B also made a stamped version which I believe are harder to find, but I have one. I also have a Frederick Reynolds acid etched one that is in excellent shape except for a very minor water spot. I cleaned it up a little but I set it aside for now so I can dig out a set of good scales for it because the original ones were broken. I also would like to try & get the rest of the water stain off of it. The W&B needs some minor work also like delaminating scales.

Thanks gents! I'm a bit nervous about honing it. I'm not very good at honing wedge razors, but I'm hoping this one will be the exception.

Great score for a Brother in the frozen North.

That isn't a true wedge. It's wedgey but it has some hollow. It'll hone just fine and shave wonderfully.

    What a find!
If you are not experienced in honing, I would send it to a pro because those wedge type blades can be tricky to hone.

Ernie is right. A wedge is a little more difficult to hone unless it only needs refreshing.

It's very satisfying to hone your own razors. Buy a cheap wedge that's about useless and practice getting an edge on that. You could probably pick one up pretty cheap. If you can manage it, then hone your W&B. If you can't do it, send it off to be safe.

No matter how you slice it, the theme razor is right on the $$ and just what you wanted, so, Enjoy it how You want, even if it is to hang on the wall.
