Damaged Wade & Butcher razors, what to do?

I had to do something with these amazing razors...all of them have hairline cracks along the cutting edge. They are just too great to get rid of.

Well not all razors make it to be 150 year old beauty queens. A shadow box is a good display and resting place for them. They are still historical item even if they have lost their original function.

Can't you weld the crack then hone and shave?...........just kidding. Its a shame they aren't usable, W&B's are some nice shaving razors.

I guess it depends on how far the crack goes up into the blade, and where its cracked. (Toe,heal, in the middle) You may be able to make a shorty !!!
If you want to spend the time reading.... There are a lot of those types of restores in the workshop, under the thread THE BUTCHERED BLADE.

Yeah I thought of every possible way to make they razors shave again and it just wasn't in the cards. Someone else already tried shortening one of them. The cracks are all pretty much in the middle of the blades. It's a real shame, I wanted them to shave real bad.

Thanks for the compliment, and yes I did make the Deadpool brush. I had to have a brush to match my avatar. I used a bobble head and a 30mm black badger knot. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Depending on the cracks and the thickness of the grind.... Some people have honed their razors with a crack and even used them to shave with. You never know until you try. Being on display like that is very nice too.
