    Default F A Koch

Unusual razor I bought sometime last year......Believe it or not, I had forgotten about it in the pile.

I have found (on a knife forum) that F A Koch began in 1874 on Chambers St in NYC and sold knives, surgical instruments, scissors, and razors from Germany. The company was moved to Broadway in 1904, where it lasted until 1933.
As the box would indicate this is from 1904 to 1933.

I dunno if this is a surgical razor or not. No stamps, but pretty certain it is carbon steel, a tad of decoration and bottom jimps.
Blade is 6/8 and about the size of an average straight razor. Seems like a good stropping is all it needs..

    Shiny!
