Simmons hardware near wedge with broken scales. New bubinga scales thanks to a co-worker. After I set the blade in the scales I honed and shave tested. A+ shave.

Bubinga is a great tone wood. I bet she'll really sing to when you're shaving.

It's gonna be said.... I like the wood/finish alright, but the scales are just twice-sized.
Buzz the things down the middle, make a set for this blade and another. JMO.

Again, good job, just way too big.

Yeah they are a little big. I thought I would try it out for a while before I decide if I am going to make them smaller. Actually it is not that bad shaving. A little different stropping though. I will give it a few more shaves to see how I like before I decide. I used oil on the wood as the finish prodigy.

I wish I could take all the credit. My co-worker made them, (his first attempt). I just finished them and installed the blade. If I decide they need to be smaller I will probably end up doing it.
