La Pogonotomie, 1769 First Edition
I picked this up recently on ebay, in open bidding, for under $50. I'm still surprised. It's a complete first edition from 1769 of Perret's La Pogonotomie. The cover is light (just paper), with a simple twine binding. I'm not knowledgeable enough to say if it's the original binding or not. The other copies I've seen here and there were bound in hard cover leather, but they may have been rebound in the 19th century. In any case, I'm ecstatic to own this.
