New Guliver
Got this one in the other day.
Paul Waldmin - "Guliver" made in Solingen
Virtually no honeware seen under the loupe hence I'm thinking it might be nos.
I googled and looked in the library and found hardly anything.
Take a peek:
If anyone has any info on these I'd love to hear about it.
If not, I'm happy to have it for in the mid twenty dollar range.

Thanked: 3825.00... Very nice. 3 pins. I avoid even looking for additional razors, but I would have had to pick that up if I stumbled upon it. Your score made my day, nice living life vicariously.

Thanked: 4830I would be pretty happy to have picked that up too. There used to be a lot of mint and NOS razors around for very little moola, but they have dwindled a lot as of late.

Nice razor. Looks to have some of the period hone wear?
Seems a great shaver.
I could advise to tape the spine, but I won't.
That is how those tape threads take over.

I think what you might be seeing is a lot of reflection with a crappy cell phone camera.
The edge of the spine that would show honeware is a perfect apex that isn't flattened from wear at all. Under magnification, there is a tiny bit of scuffing. I suspect that is from when the factory edge was honed.
In the picture, the razor is honed. I used a Naniwa Chosera 1k, Shapton glass 4k, 8k and 16k then finished on a Hohenzollern Abziehsteine
As always, one layer of tape. (Don't want to start the tape thing either.)

Nice looker! I'm not into the 3 pin razors but own one myself. It was a good price and NOS so I couldn't pass it up. Not as good as you got for a price but its a damn fine shaver. Enjoy it.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Ok Tom, the shave report,
One of the best shaves I have ever gotten from a hollow ground razor, period.
Smooth, comfortable and effortless.
I attribute it to three things :
The almost nos condition.
The superior edge from the Hohenzollern stone, which to me, is smoother than MY Escher.
What little that, over the years, the honing gods have bestowed upon me. (Notice that this is last, and it might not be too much!)
Thank you Mark. This information is a good start.
Thanks to all for looking.

Very lucky. I definitely would not have passed that up if i saw it. I have no doubt she will be a sweet shaver.
