    Default My second Koraat

Been a while since I've posted. Work and home have been a little crazy busy and I haven't been doing much with razors besides using them and stropping them. But that recently changed. The one bonus about work being crazy busy was a large overtime check. So I decided to get a sibling for my first Koraat. Pretty much the same razor with a couple of tweaks. I went with stabilized birch burl for the scales and bullseye collars. I also went with the shorter length and had the tips rounded. Everything else was the same as the first - 7/8 spanish point 1/4 hollow with the same file work and finish as the first and copper for the wedge and collars.

Used it for the first time today and I'm really pleased with it. The shorter length is easier to control and the rounded point is easier to get into tight places without nicking myself. I like spanish points, but the Koraat doesn't have as much of a smile as my vintage ones, so I'd get myself every once in a while.

A pic of the first one is at the bottom, just because.
