Cool old pic. I don’t have many from way back.
I do have a picture of a painting that was done of me when I was young and commercial fishing.

I have thought that I was the one on the arm of the chair but am told I am the one to the left.
Believe it or not, in our little town of Pomeroy WA I was crowned King and some little girl was crowned Queen because of those pictures.
I guess some photographer was in town and had gone door to door telling the potential clients about his services. Once he'd taken all of the pictures he'd put them on display at some store and then the people voted.
I was very young, but I do remember getting 'Crowned' at the theater.
What a good story.
TC,
I did classical music evenings and jazz Sturday evenings. You might remember Charlie Meneese, the big band guy. I worked with him. In fact, when I started, the station was not on the air yet. I helped do some of the wiring. The station was KWMU. Good times, good people.
Let us be civil
When I started out in my first year of aircraft maintenance.
Think this was before the CNE air show, 1989.Attachment 342443
The picture of my drumming was when I lived in MO. It was taken at the Blessing of the bikes in the spring. The blessing was held in IL just across the border and we were the band for that year. Guessing the late 80's. So I too was in MO for a while. But probably not the same time as you two old guys. LOL
Ok... I'll get in on living in St. Louis.
The wife and I both went to college there.
Our first apartment after we were married was off of I-55 south a past the Budweiser plant at the Germania Ave. exit.
Anyone remember Imo's Pizza?
Pete <:-}
Well, thats a name that sound familure. Although I was doing a lot of drugs back then. :banghead: I lived in St. Peters, St. Charles, and a few other little towns including Winfield where there wasnt even a signal light in town. Get a road soda at the bar on the way out the door.
Oh the memories.
I remember a long time ago when I was just 17 and joined the Marines. Here's a picture the day before I went to boot camp in May 1974.

Standing with the recruter?
Yes. My mother hated him because I think she knew what was going to happen.....
Many years ago a young man I had worked with at Safeway had joined the Army. I received a weekly letter as did his mother among others. Every so slowly I could see the change coming. One Saturday I'd received my weekly letter and shortly after I received a call from his mother. The conversation kinda went like this:
Mom---Roy, I got a letter from Darin, what are they doing to my boy?
Me-----Mom, there making a man out of him.
Darin was a good kid before, he was outstanding young man when he came home. He went on to be my kids hockey coach. He become a lineman for our Rural Electric Association.
Thank you for your service. :bow

Never go home without getting IMO,s or Cecil Whittaker’s, hell yea Pete!
Obie I can’t remember the old drive in hamburger joint up around Ferguson, but back then it was the hangout for fast cars and listening to the music while taking your best girl out for a shake. Have a son who lives in Hazelwood , Pete I never got into the college but I was a regular at the brewery!
Winfield oh the memories, a daughter in St Peters, and the “Elvis is Alive “museum in Winfield.
I’ve only been in Memphis area for 25 years guys so that gave me 45 in the St. Louis area. I can boast having watched the Cardinals in old Sportsman Park, old Busch Stadium and the new one, also went up in the Arch after only a week of being open, had an uncle who worked at the aluminum plant downtown that build it. Many good times
Lol, I sure was enjoying their films at least.
Full on magnum ‘stache and mullet back then.
