The super scuttle I ordered from Schwarzweisskeramik.de came it today.
It actually dwarfs my scuttle from Georgetown Pottery.
I guess the Georgetown Pottery Scuttle will be my compact traveling scuttle.:w
The super scuttle can be for everyday use!

You have to call to place an order with Georgetown Pottery since their printed and online catalogs don't show the scuttles yet.

Angskar gave me a good deal on the super scuttle, because some glaze dripped onto the outer surface of the small bowl and a small amount in the center of the big bowl.Quote:

So what are we talking for price for either one of those things? I have a makeshift scuttle, or as I like to call it my "ghetto scuttle" that I made out of a puck dish and a big soup cup. Actually, I dont really think you need that small one since you have that mammoth sized one. You may as well send it my way. I'm sure its a tax write off...;) See, then I could ask for a new brush instead. That makes more sense all the way around...
Like I said, the georgetown scuttle is my backup.
So...
If a bad guy breaks into my house and he "happens" to fall and hit his head several times on my super scuttle, then when our local law enforcement shows up, the CSI guys will see that he was armed with a very clean "throwdown scuttle" that the bad guy tried to unsuccessfully attack me with in the middle of the night.

Seriously though, what did that G-town Scuttle cost you, I am going to have to get one. Unless you think its worth it to just go ahead and by the big one from the get go. And in that case, how much did IT cost?
The Georgetown Pottery scuttle cost me $46.00 (that included shipping). You need to go to their website to look at the colors of the glaze. They do not however have any examples of the scuttle on the website.
The glaze color of my scuttle is "Hamada Blue".

Did you e-mail them in English? Do they answer e-mail questions in English?

Yeeeesh. We must be overloading Georgetown Pottery with orders. I got the go ahead from the wife on Sunday to order one, and when I placed my order on Monday, I was informed that they are three to four weeks behind.
Not that I am complaining! I can certainly wait!
Way to go Byron guess I will have to get one soon!

good pics, I been wanting to see a comparison between the two.
I got the georgetown and it is great for mixing lather right in it, how is the other for mixing lather directly in it and how does it compare as far as keeping the lather warm?
The Super Scuttle tends to keep the lather warm longer. I would say that this is due to the immense size of the scuttle. Therefore more surface area to use as a "heat sink" if you will.Quote:
