Well, here's the latest arrival in my binge on the bay! A Wade & Butcher Lather Well/Shave Well in blonde horn.

For a mere $27, I think I scored a real bargain on this one! Minimal marking on it, with some rust near the pivot, and most of the spotting/marks on the rear side of it. I'm thinking this might be a good candidate for the walnut tumbler treatment.... I don't want to destroy the frosted etch...

Edge looks good with a minor nick near the toe but that should come out with honing.

As you can tell from the below pictures, the horn is broken, and will need replacing. I'll have to figure out a nice handle to go with this one... I was blown away by the nickel/silver handle another user had made on the forums... Time to get creative! Whenever I actually get started restoring these razors, I'll post my progress on the Workshop Pages.

Broken Scale? No problem! Probably the easiest fix in a restore job!

Back of the blade shows minimal marking... No apparent pitting or real rust.

I just love this frosted etching. It reminds me of the old Vaudeville poster lettering.

Nice deep stamps.. The D in ENGLAND was mostly missed, but other than that, these should survive any polishing/sanding.
