Very nice score!! CarrieM and I both like Torrey straights. You will not be disappointed with it's shave quality. It looks real sexy to boot! Thanks for sharing.

It came in the mail today.
VG condition. No rust or noticeable pits.
It is very loose so that will have to be addressed.
Does anyone know how to clean the hinge area with removing the razor? Just a lot of build up that needs to go.
Any idea as the age? The tail is very short app 1/2". Oh yeah and the pic is very dark as to the color of the steel. In reality, it is shiney.
How do I keep the etching. Just hand polish with MAAS?

Hand polishing with Maas should work fine. For cleaning around the pin area we use dental floss.

Thanks. It is still a little black in spots on the etched side. Actually it is not etched, the logo is "glued" to the steel.
I really can't get it any more polished.
The floss worked pretty good.

I cleaned her up and took her out for a spin this morning. I sorta rushed the hone last night. It wasn't the most comfortable shave, but she shaved real well.
That short tail takes some getting used to, but I think I like it despite the fact that I feel like my fingers are all stumpy.
I'll post some clean up pics tonight.
She is very light weight and takes alot of getting used to. My other Torrey is heavier by 1/8".
