First Resto Job JA Henkels 419 9/16

I decided to shorten the blade at the advice of some of the fine members on the general discussion board.. So here it is all finished up. I didnt remove the blade as that was beyond my feild of expertise. I did the best I could... Hope yall like it. The cutting edge is just less than 2inches.

Looks nice! Did you use a dremel, grinder, sander, to cut and shape the end?

I used a bench grinder(very carefully) to take it down and rough shape the thick end quenching in water very often to keep it from messing with the temper, then dremel with a few different bits to shape then polish. Other than working the blade it didnt need much. Just some polishing.

Looks fine to me, let us know how it shaves once you get it honed up.

Will do! just have to learn how to properly do that next... This is my first razor, bought it yesterday... Now i have another hobby lol, I am looking forward to my first shave with it. And hunting down some more old razors!
