Default First Resto Job JA Henkels 419 9/16

I decided to shorten the blade at the advice of some of the fine members on the general discussion board.. So here it is all finished up. I didnt remove the blade as that was beyond my feild of expertise. I did the best I could... Hope yall like it. The cutting edge is just less than 2inches.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Thanks for looking... Feedback welcome, I am new at this. Also if anyone knows about when production/year of this model was made, it would be really great as well.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Looks nice! Did you use a dremel, grinder, sander, to cut and shape the end?

I used a bench grinder(very carefully) to take it down and rough shape the thick end quenching in water very often to keep it from messing with the temper, then dremel with a few different bits to shape then polish. Other than working the blade it didnt need much. Just some polishing.

Looks fine to me, let us know how it shaves once you get it honed up.
