    Default My new (old) brush...

I was wasting time today with a friend as he was out looking for vaseline glass and I came across this brush. It is not the greatest of brushes and it's not all badger hair, but it only cost me 35 cents. That is the reason that I am even sharing my find with you.

That's really nice. I'd have the old knot out of it and a new one ordered from Golden Nib within an hour of getting it home though.

Nice find and great price! You can replace the knot and have a great brush as mentioned above. Also, you can give it a shampoo in Borax 12 mule team to bring it back to life and clean it good. Then a shampoo and hair conditioner, really. Vintage brushes tend to have smaller knots but they do work well for face lathering. Good luck!

That handle is in FANTASTIC SHAPE!! I wouldn't bother trying to revive the badger that's there; it's just not worth the candle. Seriously. Read some posts here about removing the old knot and get a nice new one from Golden Nib. That will be one kick-ass brush.

Yeah, I have decided to just get a new knot from the Golden Nib. They are inexpensive enough for me to afford a decent badger knot.
