Well I got my first one, something I've been after a couple years , It's a later make, plastic scales and slim razor. While I'm really after an old one this will do for now Hone it up tonight and see how see goes

I like the faux frameback nice looking razor. The F.R's are some of my best shavers

Thanked: 29If it is anything like the pair of FR razors I have you are in for a treat.
I have 2 4/8 square point razors with very finely ground blades in very light and thin bone scales. These are old with hand forged, lead wedges. They are by far the sharpest and best shavers I have though I like bigger blades so they are not my favorites. These things are silent cutters that can easily produce a near perfect shave in a single pass. Two passes and I am bbs everywhere.
My other razors are sharp and smooth but these things almost redefine it for me. Last weekend I took on a small chip in one of them with a 1k stone and then worked up and finished on a Naniwa 12k, CRo, and then leather. I shaved with it today and it is slightly scarey how stealthy it is in cutting. You swear it isn't doing anything until you run your hand over the skin.

Thanked: 29If anyone has any FR razors that they need to get honed let me know... I would be anxious to see if its the steel they used or if this matched pair is exceptional.

That's a good looking blade, even if it's not quite what you've been after! Shoulderless & a concave grind. Lovely stuff!

Love that puppy Honed up real fast and YA it's shave was like oiled glass, super smooth
I've so many new (to me) razors that it's hard to set up my rotation now I need to find some set boxes to store a few away for future rotations
