Thread: my gear

Just showing what gear I'm using, pretty much the only things I have and use


Razor: TI Le Grelot
I like this razor a lot, nothing fancy, no etching etc.
Does exactly what I want and that is give me outstanding shaves
Takes a very nice edge, very sharp and it has a nice feel to it, good balance,
good weight
Overall: this razor is what I want and what I like, nothing fancy, just plain and
does extremely well what it is supposed to do


Brush: TI "superbagder"
good brush, does what it's supposed to do


Soap: L'Occitane savon à barbe Cade
I like this soap a lot, smell very nice.
I face lather and it provides me with a very good cushion with a very easy glide, gives me close shaves every time without any irritation.
And if you're a bowl latherer this stuff just explodes, amazing stuff, very easy to lather


Strop: Dovo feinsest kern-juchten
I like this strop, gives me very nice edges


After shave: Avène eau thermale after-shave fluide
I really like this AS a lot. Since I've started using this my skin feels and looks nice and soft. It does what it says it does. It sooths and calms the skin, makes my skin feel fresh. It moisturizes, smooth and protects the skin and reduces shave related bacterial risk and heals the skin. It also has sebum regulating ingredients which provide for a shine-free skin.



These are my opinions on the equipment.
Since I haven't used too many other gear and have no real comparison points, but as far as I can tell the gear I stated does the job and does it pretty damn well for me. Off course the most important tools are not states, experience and technique.
