    Default Henckles/DD from Barber

Went to get a haircut today. Been going to the same guy for about 25 years. He gave me these today. Both need to be restored but heck, they were free. . The Henckles Zwillingswork is almost 7/8 and the DD is 7/8.

    And a Large DD

Some you win, some you loose. I was talking to the mother of a very old friend the other day. They own a hobby shop and I was asking about a small anvil and suction mounted small vise. She asked why so I told her I was taking up a new hobby. She has been selling me models for over 25 years and knows I have many, many tools.
After explaining to her what I was doing she stated " Oh....I just threw out a bunch of old razors that belonged to Tony's (her husband) grandfather." As you could imagine, I nearly fainted when she told me that most of them were unopened since they threw away the used ones years ago. Now mind you, Tony is pushing 80 years old and they were his Grandfathers. I missed this find by 3 days. I can only imagine what they were since she had no idea.

Anyway, maybe next time. My new idea is to let everyone who I know what my new hobby is. I'm not going through that again.

I was actually thinking of advertising "wanted to buy" in the local rag.
